Rust will visit consoles this spring

Double Eleven, acting publisher of Rust, together with the developers of Facepunch Studios, was named project during the exit on the console. While there is still no specific date, the game is slated for release on Xbox and PlayStation this spring.

The release will take place on the previous generation consoles, but backward compatibility will allow playing on the PlayStation 5 with the Xbox Series. Closed testing of the console version is underway until March 29, after which a full release is expected.

The original Rust debuted on Steam Early Access in late 2013. The game underwent many changes prior to its official release in early 2018.
