The first story expansion for Final Fantasy 16 has been released, with the second expansion planned for spring 2024

As the sun sets over Valisthea, peculiar dark crystals emerge in the black market, possibly originating from a long-dormant Mothercrystal unknown to the world.
In the pursuit of answers, Clive and his group encounter dubious traders, leading them to the desolate Fallen tower, the Sagespire, where unsettling secrets lay hidden.
Alongside its narrative expansion, the DLC offers players the ability to wield the iconic Buster Sword from Final Fantasy 7 and enjoy the background music "Away (1987) Orchestrion Roll" in the Hideaway hub.
Scheduled for spring 2024, the second story expansion, "The Rising Tide," will be released. Players can acquire the Final Fantasy 16 Expansion Pass at a discounted price of $24.99/ £19.99, granting access to both DLCs.
This suggests that "The Rising Tide," although lacking an individual price tag, will provide more extensive content than "Echoes of the Fallen."
