Without EA for the first time in 6 years - Ubisoft will play a game in the Star Wars universe
It looks like Lucasfilm Games, after the rebranding, decided to significantly expand the Star Wars universe. So much so that for the first time in 6 years they allowed someone other than EA to make a game.
Ubisoft Massive was commissioned to develop a new project in the universe of a galaxy far, far away. This division is well known to all fans of The Division 2 and The Crew, for which Massive is responsible.
So far, practically nothing is known about the project. The only thing that can be said with certainty right now is that it will be an open-world game created on the Snowdrop engine. The Division dilogy and a number of other projects were developed on the same engine.
Also, it became known that Disney does not plan to break off relations with EA. The contract between the companies is concluded at least until 2023. Star Wars Ubisoft Massive is Lucasfilm Games' decision to give other companies a chance to shine.
