New details for the LCL Open Cup 2020

The organizers of the LCL Open Cup 2020 revealed the details of their championship - the tournament will be held from February 19 to March 29, and the prize pool will be 1,000,000 rubles. In total, 16 teams will take part in the competition, 8 of which will receive direct invitations, and the same number will get to the event through open qualifications.

8 teams of the Continental League and 8 teams from open qualifications are randomly distributed in 4 groups of 4 teams, and in each group there can be no more than 2 teams from LCL.

Teams play in two rounds to determine the two strongest teams that pass into the playoff stage. The playoffs take place on the Single Elimination system with the final in an offline format.

Championship Schedule:

• February 15-16: open qualification
• February 19-March 12: group stage (a detailed schedule will appear after the completion of open qualifications)
• March 18-19: playoffs
• March 29th: Final

Prize pool distribution:

1st place: 500,000 rubles 2nd place: 250,000 rubles 3-4 place: 125,000 rubles
