Kingdome Come: Deliverance will receive a film adaptation
Variety reports that ex-Netflix CEO Eric Barmak will partner with Kingdom Come: Deliverance developer to make a film adaptation based on the Warhorse Studios game.
This will be possible thanks to the Wild Sheep Content film studio, which is run by Eric Barmak. At the moment, sources do not say if it will be a feature film or a TV series. According to the former executive director, this setting is the easiest to adapt for both local viewers and the global market. Eric Barmack compared the process of filming and adapting Kingdome Come: Deliverance to what happens in the universe of The Witcher.
The game from Warhorse Studios tells the story of the life of the son of a blacksmith, Jindřich, who lives in the lands of the kingdom of Bohemia in the 15th century. The film adaptation can come out very rich, as the game is replete with various political intrigues and conspiracies.
For Wild Sheep Content, the film adaptation of Kingdome Come: Deliverance isn't the only planned adaptation of the game. The studio previously entered into a partnership agreement with SEGA, according to which it will be able to work on a film based on Yakuza.
