Rumor: Team Liquid may add JUGi to their Valorant squad
Renowned journalist and insider Jarek 'DeKay' Lewis revealed that Dane Jacob 'JUGi' Hansen is one of the candidates to join Team Liquid's Valorant roster. If the rumor is correct, the ex-Astralis player will replace Adam 'ec1s' Ackles, who plays the role of the in-game leader.
Jacob 'JUGi' Hansen has previously played CS: GO on a professional level and is best remembered for his performances on teams such as Heroic, OpTic Gaming, North and Astralis. The latter accompanied the Danish player to the exit on July 31st and since then JUGi has not joined any of the clubs.
JUGi has earned nearly $ 115,000 in prize money during his career. He won several minor championships and even more often became a silver medalist at other tournaments.
Team Liquid decided to enter the new esports discipline in the first half of last year and signed the Valorant roster in July. It is noteworthy that JUGi will not be the first CS: GO player to join the Valorant roster of Team Liquid. The legendary Belgian player Adil 'ScreaM' Benrlit has previously joined the ranks of the American club.
If DeKay is right, then Team Liquid's Valorant roster will look like this:
- House 'soulcas' Sulkas
- James 'Kryptix' Affleck
- Travis 'L1NK' Mendoza
- Adil 'ScreaM' Benrlit
- Jacob 'JUGI' Hansen (?)
