Bethesda begins work on a new project

Bethesda Game Softworks has begun work on a new game, as evidenced by the opening of a server engineer vacancy. It is noted that the applicant will have to join a team developing an as yet unannounced game. It is interesting that the description for the vacancy does not make it clear the essence of the new studio project.

A successful candidate must have expertise and experience in designing, implementing, and ongoing support for large-scale server applications that use primarily C ++.

Duties of the server engineer:

  • Working with other engineers to design and improve gaming systems (server network optimization, integration with backend services, data access rights management, game persistence).
  • Testing of code elements and systems throughout the entire project development cycle.
  • Writing competent code.
  • Working with designers, artists and other personnel involved in product development as needed.
  • Working with deadlines.

Interestingly, at the same time, Bethesda continues to work on two projects - RPG Starfield and the sixth part of The Elder Scrolls series. These two games were announced back in 2018 at E3. However, for almost three years, the studio has not shared any specific details of their future projects.
