AMD is preparing to introduce an analogue of DLSS
According to Prohardver, AMD may add support for FidelityFX Super Resolution technology to its graphics card drivers this spring.
FidelityFX Super Resolution is an analogue of DLSS from NVIDIA. Note that both technologies use machine learning algorithms and are designed to eliminate aliasing without overloading the system itself. Unlike DLSS, FidelityFX Super Resolution should be cross-platform, not AMD's proprietary technology. This means that it can be used with any GPU, including NVIDIA. However, this feature will appear somewhat later.
It was previously reported that FidelityFX Super Resolution will only work when ray tracing is enabled. Prohardver notes that the technology from AMD will perform better due to the larger amount of Infinity Cache memory, despite the fact that the Radeon video cards will not have special tensor cores.
