With the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, fans of the series asked the question: "What will happen to Modern Warfare?" Infinity Ward was quick to respond.

According to lead multiplayer special effects artist Reed Schingledecker, the game will continue to receive new content. However, in what form it will appear in Modern Warfare is not yet clear.
