iNation Bids Farewell to CS:GO: The Rise, The Challenge, and Hope for the Future!

Cet article est disponible dans les langues suivantes

iNation, the Serbian esports organization with a longstanding presence in the CS:GO scene dating back to 2013, has made a significant decision. They recently announced their withdrawal from CS:GO, citing the challenging conditions of the "region's business market" as the primary reason for this step.

As part of their exit strategy, iNation released two players, Nikola "Dragon" Boskovic and Vladan "Kind0" Mandic, from their contracts. This news comes a few months after iNation's participation in the BLAST.tv Paris Major Europe RMR.

The organization expressed their perspective on the situation, explaining that they felt the momentum was not in their favor, and they believed Serbia was not yet prepared for a fully developed esports industry. Nevertheless, they emphasized that their withdrawal might be temporary, expressing hope for a comeback in the future when the circumstances align more favorably.

Over the years, iNation has quietly made a positive impact on the professional CS:GO scene. They have been associated with well-known players, coaches, and talent, boasting an impressive alumni list that includes renowned names like Nikola "NiKo" Kovač, Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač, Nemanja "nexa" Isaković, Janko "YNk" Paunović and Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović.

In the lead-up to 2023, iNation had been competing in Europe's online scene, striving to make their mark. They hit a good stride and managed to qualify for the prestigious BLAST.tv Paris Major Europe RMR, which led to a commendable No. 34 ranking in the world. Although they faced tough challenges during the RMR event, they put up a fight against teams like BIG and ENCE, displaying their determination and skill.

After their unsuccessful attempt at qualifying for the BLAST Paris Major, iNation made roster changes, parting ways with highly-touted player Filip "DEPRESHN" Jarkić. Subsequently, the duo of Ivan "choiv7" Zivkovic and Vladan "VLDN" Radevic also departed a month later. Now, with the organization's decision to withdraw from CS:GO, the remaining members, Dragon and Kind0, have been granted their release from contracts, allowing them the freedom to explore opportunities as free agents in the esports market.
