Thorin voiced his grievances against the BLAST organization and the most recent Major, compiling a list of 19 points
British analyst Duncan "Thorin" Shields voiced his grievances against the organizers of the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 for CS:GO. He highlighted a number of issues that were identified during the course of the tournament. His criticism touched upon unqualified staff, inconvenient match start times, misconduct by fans, poor quality of the trophy, and other aspects.
If someone truly hated CS:GO and wanted to send a message to every genuine fan, here's what they would do:
- Obtain the rights to organize the last Major in history.
- Ignore YNk and replace him with some clueless podcaster.
- Ignore Heccu and make a commentator interview the losing teams.
- Hire one of the worst individuals ever involved in esports and not even ask him to acknowledge his years of immoral and unethical behavior towards players for the sake of attention[possibly referring to Jake Lucky].
- Allow fans to interfere with teams at an almost unprecedented level, including during playoffs.
- Schedule high-profile matches featuring FaZe and NAVI at early hours to reduce the number of viewers.
- Create a trophy that looks like a tasteless piece of plastic crap printed on a 3D printer.
- Play an episode during the biggest matches, reveling in their own flatulence about how innovative this shitty trophy is.
- Conduct player interviews right before lifting the trophy to completely kill their victorious emotions and peak energy.
- Refuse to create high-quality promotional and documentary content.
- Condense the Major into two weeks to maximize randomness.
- Invite smooya to a show match with the legends.
- Instruct the producer to avoid showing tense defuses and kills after time expires to showcase players' faces and the crowd.
- Play the winning music several times before the game is actually over.
- Deprive Harry and Hugo of a good playoff series to commentate on.
- Place mediocre analysts in the center and push the top analysts to the side to ruin the perspective and distract from analysis.
- Use a staggered playoff schedule with two matches per day, preventing any fan from planning to watch the second series.
- Fail to eliminate the chance of technical issues, which still occur during the final and delay its start.
- Waste money on a worthless coach whose team didn't qualify, interview him, and endlessly promote him on air.
