KRAFTON reveals details of PUBG Continental Series 5

South Korean video game holding KRAFTON has revealed additional details regarding the upcoming PUBG Continental Series 5.

The event, due to start in September, will consist of four regional tournaments across America, Europe, Asia and the Asia-Pacific region. A total of 16 teams from each region will compete for a combined $ 250,000 prize pool that has been allocated to each region.

The company announced that PUBG's prize pool crowdfunding initiative will return for PUBG Continental Series 5. Using the Pick Em Challenge, fans will be able to earn in-game rewards by predicting the correct outcomes. Fans will need results voting coupons to participate. These can be obtained by purchasing PCS5 themed items or by watching the event.

KRAFTON announced that 30 percent of the revenue generated from the sale of PCS5 items will be added to the overall prize pool for the event.

Prior to the official event, each region will host a string of qualifiers to qualify for the PCS5 Grand Finals. In addition, seven European teams were invited to participate in the grand final, including Fnatic, NAVI, Team Liquid and Faze Clan.
