The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) announced that it has signed a multi-year deal with Twitch. As part of the deal, FIBA will broadcast approximately 600 hours of live footage of the Federation's basketball matches each year, and will also provide Twitch users with access to official footage to create their own content.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Frank Lenders, FIBA's CEO of Media and Marketing, told Reuters that the company will spend some of the money from the deal on investing in interactivity during streaming, as well as building deals with streamers for further promotion. League.

FIBA representatives noted that they are aware of the specifics of streaming on Twitch and the difference from traditional broadcasts, for example, on television or YouTube.
