Cyberpunk 2077 Breaks Records Again
In December 2020, CD Project RED was able to break the mark of 10,200,000 sold digital copies of their game. This allowed them to set a record for digital sales. This information was provided by the analytics company SuperData.
Note that these 10,200,000+ copies included not only those that users decided to play at any cost, but also the products returned back to the seller. Regardless, according to SuperData, the refunds did not have much of an impact on performance.
It is noteworthy that Cuberpunk 2077 sold best on computers. PCs accounted for 80% of digital sales, which, in fact, made it possible to become the best-selling game in December on computers.
Earlier it became known that the game showed an absolute record for the presence of players online. After the release of Cyberpunk 2077, the game had 1,054,000+ people at the same time.
The long-awaited release of the game from CD Project RED took place on December 10. The title was released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. On next generation consoles, the game is available through backward compatibility. Cyberpunk 2077 suffered the most on the PlayStation 4.
