The other day, the head of Microsoft's gaming division, Phil Spencer, gave an interview to the Dropped Frames podcast. One of the topics of conversation was the company's pricing policy.
According to the Xbox CEO, Microsoft does not intend to raise prices for Xbox Game Pass. The subscription costs the same as before: $ 10 a month for the regular version and $ 15 for the Ultimate subscription, which includes Xbox Live Gold with its 15 million users.
Game Pass's business model is completely sustainable today, Spencer said. Phil also noted that the company does not pursue the goal of selling as many copies of games as possible, but rather advocates expanding creative possibilities.
