This time, the main protagonist is none other than Goro Majima, who finds himself washed up on a beach near the Hawaiian Islands. He’s discovered by a young boy with a pet tiger, who helps him get back on his feet and return to civilization. However, their journey is interrupted by bandits, leading to fast-paced, real-time combat. Players will also have the chance to command a ship and engage in thrilling naval battles, reminiscent of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

The spinoff will follow the events of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and will take place largely in the same locations. In terms of scale, it will be comparable to Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is scheduled to release on February 28, 2025, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
