International gaming portal PC Gamer, referring to Shimon Strauss, said that in Dying Light 2: Stay Human there will be a mechanic with weapon wear. Over time, after using a particular type of weapon, players will have to change the method of eliminating opponents, since the old one will break.

According to Shimon Strauss, such a factor of surprise will push players towards new and more ingenious ways of avoiding fighting opponents or fighting them. He proposed as an example an alternative in the form of luring zombies into a narrow passage for the subsequent explosion with a grenade instead of the usual method of eliminating enemies with cold weapons.

Weapon wear mechanics is a somewhat controversial decision. On the one hand, the argument is very interesting and players will really have to resort to new ways of passing the levels, and on the other hand, users may get tired of the fact that the game can slide into monotonous fights and regular weapon repairs if they like the hand-to-hand combat system.
