Immortals Expands Leadership Team
North American esports organization Immortals Gaming Club has announced the expansion of its leadership team and the return of Robert Yip as its player manager.
Yip already worked as a Leadership Coach at Immortals until 2017, before joining FlyQuest Sports, Misfits, and then becoming a Freelance Leadership Coach and Sports Psychologist. In his new role, Yip will work with both LCS and VALORANT teams to promote their physical, mental and emotional well-being.
According to the press release, Immortals will extend its wellness initiatives to the office team. All employees, from director and up, will have access to professional coaching through telemedicine sessions with Boon Health.
IGC says this personalized coaching platform will reinforce the organization's commitment to "industry-leading mental wellbeing and personal growth in the workplace."
In addition to Yip's appointment, the organization announced several internal promotions, including Caroline Bill, who was promoted to director of partnership operations. David Yaffe's role expanded to Senior Content Producer, while Vincent Jr. was promoted to Operations and Business Intelligence Manager. Finally, Megan Anderson was promoted to a new role as Partnership Activation Manager.
