Israeli startup Edge Gaming raised $ 2 million in its funding round. The collected funds will be used to create and develop a special training site for the academy for esports teams and players.

According to a press release, the platform will act as a hub for fans wishing to participate in a variety of activities, including the Path to the Pro program, which will allow them to hone their gaming skills. For organizations, the platform is said to enable the creation of a "scalable revenue channel" and "other gaming monetization channels" that are currently in development.

Roy Geva Glasberg, Managing Partner at AnD Ventures, commented on the investment:“The eSports space is already generating billions of dollars in revenue and growing at double-digit rates year after year. Our investment in Edge was driven by our belief in the founders and their vision for bringing exciting new experiences to the marketplace of hundreds of millions of gamers. "

Edge Gaming was founded earlier this year by former Israeli special forces officers Asaf Gazit and Omri Gazit. During their time in the military, they have gained experience in teaching cognitive skills for a range of situations in which a split-second decision could be critical.
