According to the press release, ESIC will also work with NZESF on various "complementary initiatives" to educate members on esports betting, match fixing and cheating.

As a reminder, ESIC is working on a unified standard of honesty in esports. The organization recently identified seven incidents of misconduct in the Mountain Dew League, which included players betting on MDL and other official matches. Dozens of CS: GO players, and at least one from Clash Royale, have also previously received bans for cheating, match-fixing, or integrity violations.

ESIC has already enlisted the support of a number of tournament organizers, bookmaker platforms and data analysts to fight fraud in the industry. Recent partnership agreements include Pandador, Oddin, ExceedMe, Relog Media, and Esports Charts, just to name a few.
