DWG KIA signed an agreement with CUE Cultural Innovation
South Korean esports organization DWG KIA has announced that it has signed a digital marketing partnership with Chinese digital marketing company CUE Cultural Innovation.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
As part of the deal, CUE Cultural Innovation will become the team's exclusive Chinese agency and will be responsible for all business and commercial operations in mainland China. In addition, the partnership will also foster cultural communication between the Chinese and South Korean esports industries.
DWG KIA is one of the most successful esports organizations in 2020 as its League of Legends team won the League of Legends World Championship in China. This year, within the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Spring Split, the team continued their success, winning not only the championship itself, but also qualifying for the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI).
CUE Cultural Innovation is part of the Chinese conglomerate CUE Group, which was formed in March 2018 when four Chinese digital marketing companies WIN, Qi-xin, AnG and Wina Tech merged into one.
