Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Jim Solbakken become the owners of ULTI agency
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, head coach of the English Premier League football club Manchester United, and sports agent Jim Solbakken have signed an agreement to acquire the Norwegian esports company ULTI Agency.
According to the press release, both Solskjaer and Solbakken will acquire 12.5% of the company's shares through their companies Grip Management AS and Sir Solution AS, respectively. Financial details regarding the size of the investment were not disclosed.
"Esports has become more than anyone would have dared to predict just a few years ago. It is spreading the joy of sports around the world. It is very interesting and ULTI is a company with big plans," commented the Manchester United coach.
ULTI has been in business for a little over half a year now, and the company manages a selection of esports talent, mainly in the CS: GO scene. The company also provides marketing and branding advice to other professionals in the field.
ULTI recently opened an office in Seattle and plans to expand to Asia and South America. The amount invested by the new owners is expected to help support these expansion plans.
