Orion becomes T1 partner
South Korean esports organization T1 Entertainment & Sports (T1) announced on its official website Weibo that it has signed a partnership agreement with South Korean confectionery company Orion Corporation (Orion). According to the announcement, Orion will be providing signature snacks to T1 players. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Orion, founded in 1956 in Seoul, is one of the three largest food companies in South Korea. In addition, the company's iconic dessert (“Choco-Pie”) also has tremendous differentiation and influence in the confectionery industry in China with the company's opening of its Shanghai subsidiary in 1997. In 2006, it occupied two-thirds of the Chinese biscuit market, Forbes reports.
T1 currently competes in League of Legends, PUBG, Dota 2 and VALORANT, as well as other eSports disciplines. Along with Orion, the organization also has 14 partners including Nike, BMW, Samsung, Red Bull, Hana Bank, Twitch, and DouYu.
