NRG Esports Launches Full Squad Gaming
NRG Esports launched a new casual gaming media brand called Full Squad Gaming, which quickly amassed a huge following on TikTok. By doing so, NRG Esports is trying to diversify its revenue streams.
The concept that NRG Esports is investing in Full Squad Gaming is to create viral content to lay the foundation for collaborating with professional athletes and celebrities interested in video games. Note that the organization launched Full Squad Gaming at the end of December, but now NRG Esports intends to develop its brainchild.
According to company president Brett Lautenbach, NRG will monetize FSG through advertising sales and sponsorships.
Full Squad Gaming has over 638k TikTok subscribers after creating 17 videos, almost 20k Instagram followers and 53k YouTube subscribers. NRG has already recruited MMG as a content maker that specializes in Madden NFL.
Given the challenge currently seen in converting profits to American esports teams, several gaming organizations are branching out to diversify their revenue streams.
Note that NRG owns San Francisco Shock in the Overwatch League and OpTic Chicago in the Call of Duty League, and is also represented in disciplines such as Rocket League, VALORANT, Apex Legends and Fortnite.
