Norwich City Introduces 1J Esports Esports Team

Norwich City Football Club has introduced its own esports team called 1J Esports. According to the football club, 1J Esports was designed to create a new brand identity while paying homage to the football club's heritage, but using its location and zip code (NR1 1JE).

The esports team's mission statement states that 1J Esports plans to initially compete on the FIFA 22 stage. However, the team also mentioned their desire to compete in other disciplines in the future.

Norwich City's decision to create a separate esports team follows from a recently renewed partnership with advertising company Bidstack. As a result of the cooperation, the company was named the official esports partner of the football club.

Along with the launch of the esports business, 1J Esports has also announced that it will be hosting regular free tournaments for its community. This is expected to culminate in the creation of an esports academy.
