The 20-week program, which kicks off on October 4th, will bring together 100 students interested in gaming, engaging in STEM, sustainability and innovation on a daily basis. Students will learn through games to acquire skills applicable to real-life careers through educational projects.

The classes will be divided into 3 categories: Games and Esports, Games and Society, and Games and Innovations. Specifically, students will explore topics such as zero carbon technology, game development fundamentals, content creation fundamentals, and sustainability.

Khalil Keys, Director of Strategic Initiatives at Gen.G:"We are proud to partner with a school that shares our mission of teaching students the real skills and networks that enable them to pursue a successful future."

Students will also have the opportunity to meet with game industry professionals including content creators, professional gamers, and marketing experts.

Gen.G's partnership with Edward Harris Jr. High School is part of SMUD's ongoing support for the Sacramento community through their outreach program.
