Operation Riptide has started in CSGO - shields, skins, dropable grenades and more

On the night of September 22, Operation Riptide was released. With the update, a lot of new content has been added to the game.

Game modes

• Private matchmaking allows players to play a private lobby on Valve servers;
• Simplified competitive mode allows you to customize the number of rounds in the game (16 or 30);
• Deathmatch team (up to 100 kills per team) or FFA (every man for himself);
• In Demolition, the number of rounds has been reduced to 10, and there will be no more side switching;
• Weapon progress has been adjusted in Arms Race, syringes are issued every three kills.

Gameplay

• Grenades can now be dropped like regular weapons;
• Reduced visibility after death (from 3 to 2 seconds, with a headshot to 0.5 seconds);
• Deagle body damage reduced (from 63 to 53);
• Increased body damage from M4A1-S (from 33 to 38);
• Reduced cost of Dual Elites by $ 300;
• In hostage matches, the Ballistic Shield has been added, which can be purchased by players on the CT side.

Cards

• On Dust II, the view was changed to mid from the base T, the visibility of point B when viewed from the tunnel was improved;
• On Inferno, the doors on the "banana" have been replaced with solid ones, the location of the 1 to 1 battles in the warm-up has been changed, bugs have been fixed;
• On Ancient, the installation time for C4 at both points was increased, surface shots were fixed, a 1v1 warm-up was added, general optimization was carried out;
• In Competitive Mode, Normal Mode, and DM, Basalt and Insertion II are now available;
• Ravine and Extraction complete the Wingman official matchmaking playlist;
• Grind, Mocha, Pitstop, Calavera and Frostibite are excluded from official matchmaking.

By tradition, with the release of a new operation, a fresh pass to it has appeared in the game. It contains Operator Skins, Weapon Skins, and other cosmetic items.
