Cloud9 Blue is close to signing vanity
Cloud9 Blue is close to signing a deal to acquire vanity from Version1, as reported by Commer and Rush B Media.
The news comes just days after Version1 allowed its captain to look for career options. It is noted that it was Cloud9 Blue that was one of the first organizations that began negotiations with the player, and now the deal is reportedly at the final stage.
The signing of vanity, in particular, will reunite the captain with his former Chaos teammates, namely leaf and Xeppaa, who together managed to establish themselves with victories at Intel Extreme Masters XV - Beijing Online: North America and DreamHack Masters Winter 2020: North America.
While both reports indicate that the team is likely to move to a six-member roster option, the team's future remains unknown. Additionally, while no official announcement has been made yet, Upcomer, Rush B Media and other portals indicate that floppy has been inactive for the past month. It is unknown if the player will train with the main squad if Cloud9 Blue confirms the vanity deal.
As a reminder, vanity became part of Version1 in early February. Taking the reins, vanity managed to lead the team to victory in the Pittsburgh Knights Monthly Gauntlet - March, as well as the silver medals of VCT 2021: North America Stage 2 Challengers Finals. However, at the next VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters - Reykjavík, the team failed to show itself in all its glory, losing to Fnatic. In addition, at the last VCT 2021: North America Stage 3 Challengers 2, the team finished last, losing the chance to travel to Berlin.
The possible composition of Cloud9 Blue is as follows:
- leaf.
- Xeppaa.
- vanity.
- poiz.
- xeta.
- floppy (inactive).
