Asus has introduced the portable gaming console ROG Ally, which is a competitor to Steam Deck
The company Asus has introduced a new portable gaming console under the Republic of Gamers (ROG) brand - ROG Ally. It runs on the Windows 11 operating system and can be connected to Steam Deck.
ROG Ally is equipped with an AMD APU processor based on the AMD Zen 4 architecture and an RDNA 3 graphics subsystem, which is also supported by other graphics processors and can be used for the mobile ROG X6 eGPU. The display has a maximum resolution of 1080p and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The Dave2D channel on YouTube confirmed that ROG Ally is smaller in size than its main competitor, Steam Deck. The device weighs 608 grams compared to Steam Deck's 669 grams.
The cost of ROG Ally will be quite high, but Asus claims that it will compete with other devices of this type.
