As part of the upcoming second season of Grandmasters League 2021, three more players will be determined to fight for the main cash prize of $ 200,000. On October 10, the Grandmasters event will come to an end. In another championship, the Gold Series will determine the last eighth competitor in the 2021 Hearthstone World Championship.

On October 12th, Hearthstone will launch a new Mercenary mode. Its announcement took place a month ago. In "Mercenaries", players will have access to 50 characters who will come to visit from various universes of Blizzard. Each of the players who have passed the prologue of the new mode will receive eight creatures for the "Mercenaries" as a gift.

It is worth noting that the Hearthstone World Championship 2021 will be held online due to the coronavirus pandemic. Esports players won't have to get used to such a turn, as last year's Hearthstone World Cup also took place online. Sato 'glory' Kenta beat Jaromir 'Jarla' in the final. Jumped 3-1 to become event champion and receive a $ 200,000 prize.

The prize pool distribution for the 2021 Hearthstone Wolrd Championship is the same as last year's event. It will look like this:

  • 1st place: TBD - $ 200,000
  • 2nd place: TBD - $ 100,000
  • 3-4th place: TBD - $ 50,000
  • 3-4th place: TBD - $ 50,000
  • 5th-6th place: TBD - $ 25,000
  • 5th-6th place: TBD - $ 25,000
  • 7th-8th place: TBD - $ 25,000
  • 7th-8th place: TBD - $ 25,000
