JerAx is back!
Esse 'JerAx' Vainikka, ex- OG player, in which he became a two-time champion of The International, announced on Twitter about his return to the professional Dota 2 scene, but noted that viewers will look at him as by no means a player. He promised to share his plans on March 27th. He also noted that there will likely be special training for the new role.
Based on the above, the Finnish former esports player can appear in the analytics studio or comment on matches. Both options are more than acceptable, since JerAx has a rich and very successful experience in playing Dota 2, which is perhaps one of the main criteria for selecting studio workers who appear on live broadcasts.
For the entire time of his career, which began in 2013 and ended at the beginning of 2020, Esse Vainikka managed to play in such teams as MVP HOT6, Team Liquid and OG. As part of the latter, he won not only The International 2018 and The International 2019, but also triumphed at events such as The Boston Major 2016 and The Kiev Major 2016.
JerAx wrote the following:
"Hello! Haven't seen each other for a long time. I am glad to announce that I am returning to Dota 2. Unfortunately for some of you, I will not perform on the professional stage. I will tell you more about my plans on March 27 at 12:00 CET + 1[13:00 Moscow time]. Thinking to get some training, maybe I'll need it. See you on stream! "
