Winter DPC update for Dota 2
Valve seems to continue to listen to community requests. This time they released, though not more, but a significant update, which received the telling name The Dota Pro Circuit Winter 2021 Season.
The main innovation was the integration of information about the DPC season into the Dota 2 client itself. Now users will be able to find out all the points of interest to them without leaving the game.
The "Watch" tab has changed and expanded. It will now display “DPC LIVE” underneath during live broadcasts. There is also a fairly convenient menu with several items: home, schedule, participants, live broadcast, match recordings and tournaments. Thanks to them, fans of the esports component of Dota 2 will receive comprehensive information about current, past and upcoming activities during the DPC season.
There were also references to the "Patrol" function, which allows you to fight violators of community rules. Valve is working on it, and now you can look at an early version of the implementation of the function.
Finally, team attributes will be added to the game. It will include various technical things like item effects, emotes, loading screens and chat wheel phrases. The teams will develop in-game merchandise independently, and part of the income from its sales will go to the treasury of organizations.
