VirtusProPolar Disqualified for DPC 2021 North America
VirtusProPolar made it to the DPC 2021 North America Closed Qualifier, beating Its Okay in the final of the open qualifier. Instead of continuing on their way to success, the team is forced to withdraw from the competition due to the fact that they played in the qualifying round with a substitute player whom they did not announce before the start of the championship.
Due to this turn of events, Its Okay will naturally take the place of VirtusProPolar in the closed qualifying round.
All qualifications for the first tournaments of the Dota Pro Circuit 2021 series will end on January 10th. Four invitations to the DPC 2021 North America Upper Division will be played in the closed qualifier. The other four squads will advance to the lower division.
DPC 2021 North America Upper Division kicks off January 18 and ends on February 27. Its total prize pool will be $ 205,000. There will also be played 1,150 DPC points, 2 invites to the Major tournament. The winner will make it to the playoffs, while the silver medalist will start his way in the group stage of the Major championship.
DPC 2021 North America Lower Division will also take place from January 18 to February 27, and its total prize pool will be $ 75,000. The top two teams will receive invitations to the top division of the second DPC season 2021. The winner will take home a cash prize of $ 17,000 and the silver medalist - $ 16,000.
