Niklas 'gade' Gade joined BIG on July 31st and has been with the team for 3 weeks. On the roster, he replaced the Turkish esportsman Izmailkan 'XANTARES' Dortkardes. The latter, after leaving BIG, by the way, gathered his own team, Eternal Fire, in which he now plays. BIG will play at ESL Pro League Season 14 with a new roster.

In a recent interview for the dexerto portal, the Dane shared his impressions of the game with his new teammates. Gade noted that he repeatedly had the opportunity to go to continue his career as a professional CS: GO player in the ranks of BIG, but he could not decide on such an important step:

In 2018, I had negotiations with Christian Lenz[manager BIG], we discussed many different things and converged on thoughts. I think then we came to the conclusion that it could benefit everyone, but I choseOpTic. I didn't know what would happen to his team, but we got along very well.

Then after a while I talked to tabseN, and he said that if something happens in the team, he can lend a helping hand. Ever since I spoke with Christian Lenz, the thought has been spinning in my head that one day this will become real, and I'm just happy that it happened now.

The cybersportsman is helped by his knowledge of the German language, given from the time of school. He has a communication problem in the team, as he still cannot improve his German, however, all his teammates know English and can communicate in it, which makes the task much easier for the player.

When we speak outside the game, sometimes I miss a few words, but other players speak fluent English. The German language is a challenge for me, but I am always ready for it. I really want to learn. I had a few things to do during my vacation, and even speaking the language every day will help me improve my skills.

Despite some expectations from the audience, Niklas Gade will not take on the role of team captain for obvious reasons. He said that after the language adaptation period has passed, he will be able to help tabseN with team management, but will only open up towards the middle of the round.

TabseN does a great job managing the team, I'll leave this task to him. I would like to be a minor voice and make more impact with my calls in the middle of the round, but I'm not trying to change anything. I'm just trying to fit into the team, see how things work, and then slowly adapt and find my own way to contribute.

According to Gade, BIG is a team that is really eager to own as many titles as possible. He missed playing in just such a team. Niklas hopes that he will be able to bring enough impact to the new team that it will be enough for BIG to enter the top 5 best teams in the world according to HLTV.

Gade hopes that BIG will be able to return to the top five lineups in the world. The player is delighted to be able to perform at the highest level of the competitive scene again.

I'm just happy to be back in a team that is fighting for titles. It means a lot to play against top tier teams in tier 1 tournaments again. I want to improve myself and the team. Hopefully we'll get BIG back into the top 5 very quickly.
