Ceh9: "For me, the transition of dev1ce and the possible transition of dupreeh is still more of an e-sports retirement"
Arseniy 'ceh9' Trinozhenko, a Russian-speaking commentator, streamer and ex-NAVI player, recorded a video for his YouTube channel, where he spoke about his thoughts on Astralis' re-signing of the contract with Lucas' gla1ve 'Rossander.
Gla1ve is the captain, and ceh9 believes that the captain is the person around whom you can build any team:
The captain is just the same person around whom any team can be formed. That is, really guys can go anywhere, and the Astralis team can sell them anywhere. But at the same time, they can buy the necessary players and Astralis will remain who they remain. Especially if there is still a skeleton there.
Arseniy also speculated about what could happen in the scenario with the remaining players in the team besides Lucas 'gla1ve' Rossander himself. Trinozhenko called the gla1ve-sniper a passed stage and is confident that Astralis should acquire a talented player with sniper rifles:
The captain is good, but if Xyp9x and Magisk stay, as well as Bubzkji, for example, does not go anywhere[...],[then]then they just need to get a top sniper, because on LAN they will not be able to compete with gla1ve in the role sniper. They just won't be able to. This is a passed stage. The sooner gla1ve and the company understands this, the better. Therefore, the top sniper, gla1ve on the captain, there is a balance of shooters, there are young players, motivated, who will rip and throw for this legendary clan tag. And, accordingly, the guys will succeed.
Arseniy also said that he was not at all surprised that Astralis decided to sign a contract with gla1ve:
There is no news for me here that gla1ve has re-signed[the contract]and that means everyone else will re-sign. No. They may just leave, and, most likely, they will leave in search of a better life.
Ceh9 was rather pessimistic about the departure of top players from Astralis:
Although honestly, on the other hand, for me these dev1ce transitions, the possible dupreeh transition is more of an e-sports pension.
On July 23, there was information about the extension of the contract between Astralis and gla1ve. The new agreement between the parties is designed for three years.
According to some rumors that have plagued the Internet lately, Emil 'Magisk' Rafe, Andreas 'Xyp9x' Hoislet and Peter 'dupreeh' Rasmussen may leave the team, and Lucas 'Bubzkji' Andersen will be the player around whom the new compound. According to analyst Alesandre 'petr1k' Petrik, what is happening at Astralis does not correspond to these insiders. Astralis will probably leave both gla1ve and Bubzkji and build the game around these esports players.
