Team Spirit will disband the CS: GO roster
The Russian esports organization Team Spirit has decided to disband the CS: GO roster. It is noted that the changes will occur after the completion of DreamHack Open November 2021. The organization issued an official statement on its social networks, explaining the decision by weak results.
Our CS: GO project, which has been developing for 2.5 years, will come to an end after DreamHack Open November. It is safe to say that its potential was not fully realized. We have a concrete understanding of the reasons for this result, but now I am not ready to talk about them[approx. Cheshir, CEO Team Spirit].
But, nevertheless, I respect the positions that we have managed to achieve. Both the players and the coaching staff worked hard to achieve their goals in an extremely competitive environment, and I am grateful to them for that. Hard work has always been part of the philosophy of our club, and this lineup was completely in line with it. I ask the fans and the entire caring audience to share with me this respect for the players and coaches who gave us so many positive emotions. They need it now.
In the process of rebooting the project, we will apply all the experience gained in the formation and management of rosters. I am sure that our approach will allow Team Spirit to achieve any set tasks.
The first Team Spirit roster appeared in 2016. However, the team has gone through several iterations over the years. The most successful year for the team was 2021, during which Team Spirit got into the TOP-4 at Intel Extreme Masters XV - World Championship and BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2021, and also won the Pinnacle Cup II. In addition, following the results of the RMR cycle, the team qualified for PGL Major Stockholm 2021, dropping out of the Challengers stage after three defeats.
The Team Spirit roster is as follows:
- somedieyoung.
- mir.
- magixx.
- degster.
- chopper.
- Certus (trainer).
